Frecks Plumbing & Gas is run by Ben, a licensed plumber and gas fitter with 18 years on the tools. He started out at Hilton Plumbing doing construction and new-home groundworks, before going out on his own and founding Frecks in 2016.
Originally from New Zealand, Ben has called the Kwinana area home for around 20 years, so this stretch of Perth's southern suburbs is genuinely his own backyard. Frecks is a small, owner-run business, which keeps the focus on doing good work and looking after local customers rather than chasing volume.
The work spans the everyday side of plumbing and gas, from blocked drains and burst pipes to hot water systems, leaks, taps, toilets and gas fitting. Blocked drains are the specialty, cleared properly and camera-checked so they stay clear.
You deal directly with Ben, not a call centre, and get an upfront price before any work starts. He makes a point of getting back to people too, even when it's just to say he can't take a job on.

Drains are our bread and butter. We clear them with the right gear and run a CCTV camera down the line so you know the real cause, not a guess.
Own gear, including a mini excavator
Ben owns and runs his own sewer jetter, CCTV sewer camera, ultrasonic leak detection and pipe locators, plus a mini excavator. That means he can locate, dig up, repair and replace pipework himself instead of subcontracting it out.
Fixed properly the first time
Ben would rather replace enough of the failing pipe to solve it for good than patch it and see you again. He gets called to plenty of jobs where the last plumber didn't go far enough, and he'd rather do it thoroughly so the problem doesn't come back.
Licensed and insured
Licensed plumber (PL9232) and gas fitter (GF015145), fully insured, with every job carried out to Australian standards. A 2-year warranty covers tap washers and servicing.
