The plumber Warnbro locals call

Warnbro sits right on Warnbro Sound, just south of Rockingham, and it's a genuinely settled family area. Most of the suburb was built up through the 1980s and 90s, with a few newer pockets added since, and we work around here regularly.

The older streets from the 80s and 90s largely run on their original clay sewer lines, and with mature gardens sitting over them, tree-root intrusion and recurring blocked drains are the most common jobs we get called to here. Clearing them properly and camera-checking the line is our specialty.

The established homes from the 80s and 90s are now at the age where original taps, cisterns and hot water units are starting to reach the end of their run. A lot of these jobs aren't emergencies yet, but they don't tend to improve on their own either.

The sandy coastal soil that sits under most of Warnbro shifts over time, and that movement can stress buried pipework in ways that aren't obvious until a problem surfaces. It's one of the things we look for when we're out here.

Warnbro is well within our regular patch alongside Safety Bay, Waikiki and Port Kennedy, and the train station makes it an easy landmark for anyone finding us for the first time. Wherever you are in the suburb, we're not far away.

Why Frecks

Why locals call Frecks for a plumber in Warnbro

Out in Warnbro regularly

We cover Warnbro and the surrounding coast as a regular part of the run, so you're getting a plumber who already knows the streets and the types of homes here.

You deal with us directly

Your enquiry goes straight to the business, not through a call centre. The job isn't quietly handed off to a subcontractor you haven't spoken to, and nothing gets lost between the quote and the work.

Knows the local housing stock

Ageing clay sewer lines prone to tree roots, plus older tapware and hot water units past their prime in the 80s and 90s homes. These are the patterns we see out here and know how to deal with efficiently.

Straight, upfront pricing

You get a clear price before the work begins. The invoice won't carry charges you didn't agree to, and there are no big-company overhead markups built in.

Local insight

What the plumbing in Warnbro actually looks like

Warnbro was largely developed through the 1980s and into the 1990s, with a handful of newer streets added closer to the Sound in more recent years. That means a significant share of the housing stock is now 30 to 40 years old, and the sewer lines underneath are often the same age.

Many of the older streets still run on the original clay and earthenware sewer lines laid during construction. These pipe sections are short and the joints between them are exactly what tree roots seek out. Root intrusion and repeat blockages are among the most common jobs we attend in the established parts of the suburb, and a drain camera is usually the fastest way to confirm whether the root problem is local or deeper in the line.

Inside those 80s and 90s homes, the original tapware, mixer cartridges, cisterns and hot water systems are now well into or past their expected service life. When one starts to fail, others from the same era are usually not far behind, so it is often worth checking the lot in the one visit rather than fixing a single item at a time.

The sandy coastal soil across the suburb shifts gradually, and that movement stresses buried pipe joints and connections over time. It tends to show up quietly, through slow pressure changes or drains that start running sluggishly, rather than a sudden dramatic failure.

Local council and compliance

Warnbro is in the City of Rockingham. In WA, all plumbing and gas work must be carried out by a licensed plumber and gas fitter and must meet the state standards overseen by Building and Energy WA, so those requirements apply consistently across every suburb. The City of Rockingham administers local approvals such as building permits and, for properties not connected to deep sewer, onsite wastewater (septic) approvals.

Good to know

Questions we get asked

All of Warnbro. Whether you're in the coastal streets closest to Warnbro Sound, through the established middle of the suburb, or in one of the newer pockets, you're well within our area. We're out this way regularly alongside Safety Bay, Waikiki and Port Kennedy, so a call is all it takes to get things moving.

Yes. Warnbro and the surrounding southern suburbs are a regular part of our week, as we are locally based nearby in Kwinana. We know the local housing and the wear patterns that come with the older homes here, rather than being a city operator who treats it as a long drive south.

They do. Many of the 80s and 90s homes still run on their original clay sewer lines, and with mature gardens above them, tree-root intrusion and recurring blocked drains are the most common jobs we attend here. Original tapware, cisterns and hot water systems from that era are also commonly due for repair or replacement, so it is worth having them looked at before a slow problem turns into a bigger one.

You receive a clear, honest price before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the invoice. If we open something up and find the job is more involved than expected, we'll tell you what that means for the cost before proceeding, not after the fact.

Yes. Frecks Plumbing and Gas holds a plumbing licence (PL9232) and a gas fitting licence (GF015145), and the business carries full insurance. Every job is completed to Australian standards, which is what keeps your home safe and the work legally compliant.

Yes. You deal directly with the business, not a call centre, and your job isn't passed off to a subcontractor you haven't spoken to. What you agree when you call is what happens on the day.

Yes. Both licences are held in-house, so a single visit can cover both trades. That is especially useful for things like gas hot water installations or kitchen renovations where water and gas connections both need attention, because there is no need to book two separate tradies.

Yes. We service local businesses as well as residential properties, including cafes, salons, retail shops and offices. The work covers repairs, drainage, hot water, fit-out plumbing and routine maintenance, arranged around trading hours where that helps.

We stand behind everything we do. If something is not right after we have been out, let us know and we will come back to fix it. As a small local business, looking after our reputation matters more than moving on to the next job.

Call us or send an enquiry through the site with a description of what is going on and a photo if you have one. We will talk it through and give you an upfront price before anything is booked in.
